Windsor straddles Larimer and Weld counties, and its Planning and Building divisions handle commercial permitting inside town limits. Severance and Timnath run their own planning and building departments, and parcels just outside any of the three fall to Larimer or Weld County. We confirm the jurisdiction and the applicable code amendments before pricing because they differ.
Electric service is split between Xcel Energy and Poudre Valley REA depending on the parcel, and industrial users should expect to engage the utility early for new service. Several of the area's industrial parks have metropolitan districts with their own design standards and fees that belong in the budget from the start.
